Here are the most important and useful PCTO activities I have completed:
Study trip to Dublin

During our trip to Dublin, we had many amazing experiences that not only shaped us but also made us more confident and fluent in speaking another language, while immersing ourselves in a new culture and making unforgettable memories.
Smartworking experience at TelnetVideo
During my smart working experience, I had the chance to try out many different things, such as remotely accessing a virtual machine with Linux installed, which was prepared for us to explore software usage. We tried Vim for the first time, and it was a refreshing text editor I had never seen before. I also got early exposure to what we would be doing in our final year of school, working with DBMS tools like phpMyAdmin and writing scripts in PHP.

Editing course

In this course, we had the opportunity to experiment with video editing basics using the software Filmora, with a brief introduction to Blender for video creation. Later, we worked on a project where we created a short parody of an anime, just a few minutes long. In this project, we handled everything from video modifications to audio editing, allowing us to explore and experiment with most of the available features.
Olympiads in Computer Science
In this event, we took part in the team-based Informatics Olympiad. It was a fun and engaging experience, even though our results weren’t perfect. We had the chance to observe and analyze problem-solving methods we had never considered before, expanding our way of thinking and approach to coding challenges.

Tutoring experience

Through this extracurricular activity, we supported other students in grasping and applying what they had learned. This not only helped improve my ability to explain concepts clearly but also served as a valuable opportunity to solidify the knowledge I had already acquired, deepening my understanding in the process.
“Unica” project
During our fourth year, we had to make a “Masterpiece” to submit, and thanks to that, we had the chance to develop a group project. We created a game using the Godot engine, and even if we couldn’t do all the things we wanted, it was really fun, entertaining, and educational.
We do plan to remake the game in the future to make it better and complete.
